How to Apply for a South Africa eVisa
South Africa’s eVisa application portal allows eligible travellers to apply for and obtain entry permission online without requiring a visit to South African embassy or consulate.
To be eligible, the applicants must meet the nationality and South Africa visa-specific requirements.
Check Whether You Can Apply Online
Only travellers from countries eligible for South Africa eVisa can apply for the eVisa. The online visa facility is only available for short-term purposes such as:
- Tourism
- Business
- Family visit
- Attending conference/workshop
- Approved work
- Study
- Getting medical consulation
- Diplomatic/official work visit
- Any other approved travel purposes.

Do visa-exempt travellers also need to apply for South Africa eVisa?
Visa-exmpt countries such as Zambia, Qatar, Zimbabwe etc are not required to obtain visa for South Africa. They can enter and stay in the country visa-free for the specified duration.
Keep the Required Documents Ready
South Africa passport holders are required to provide:
- Passport-bio page scan ( 6 months valid from arrival date and have atleast 2 blank page)
- Confirmed arrival and departure flight ticket.
- Detailed travel itinerary (must include daily travel plan, destinations, accommodation details).
- A certified bank Statement (last 3 months).

Submitted scan copy of the documents must be of high quality, clear and belong to the applicant. Passport information entered in application form must exactly match the original passport details.
Is There a Fixed Minimum Bank Balance for the eVisa Application?
Yes, the bank statement submitted for South Africa eVisa application must reflect a minimum balance of USD 1,500 to USD 2,000.
Complete the Online Application
Fill out the South Africa online visa application form with passport, travel and general details.
Upload the required documents and pay the visa fee using credit/debit card, paypal or cryptocurrency.
Receive payment confirmation email. The approved South Africa eVisa is delivered to the applicants registered email ID.
Is group application accepted for South Africa eVisa?

Will the payment be returned if the application is refused?

Receive the eVisa and Travel
Once the applicant receive the approved eVisa, they are required to print a copy for travel. While travelling keep the following documents:
- Printed and digital copy of the approved eVisa.
- Passport used for the application.
- Original copy of the yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Can a single-entry South Africa eVisa be used for another trip?
Once the traveller leaves South africa they cannot use the same single-entry eVisa to re-enter the country. To re-enter submit a new eVisa application.
