Documents Required to Apply for a South African eVisa
1. Passport Bio Page Scan
Upload a full-page scan of your passport bio-page. All details must be clearly readable.
Your passport must have at least 1 unused page for endorsements.
It must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond your intended date of arrival.
2. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
Submit a clear scan of your yellow fever vaccination card. It must show your name and all relevant details clearly.
This certificate is required for travellers arriving from or transiting through countries that pose a yellow fever risk. See the list at the end of this page.
3. Flight Itinerary or Booking
Provide an airline-issued electronic ticket reflecting your complete flight itinerary.
The document must show your full name (identical to your passport), flight numbers, arrival date, and confirmed return date.
4. Purpose and Duration of Visit
A detailed travel itinerary or letter covering your entire stay is required.
It must explain the purpose of your visit and your planned travel dates. Include your daily itinerary, destinations, and accommodation details.
Also include details about who is funding your visit, whether self-funded or through a sponsor.
5. A 3-month Certified Bank Statement
Submit a certified bank statement, signed or stamped, covering the last 3 months. It must be in English.
The statement must clearly display your name, account details, transaction history, and current balance.
Your statement should reflect a sufficient balance of at least USD 1,500 to USD 2,000.
